Marc john polarized cat 3.5
The latest on the John 3.5 cat. I am still using an old stock J3.5 to play around with, and this past weekend, I got to play with my M5. I am really impressed with the M5 so far, I'm having a hard time trying to see how the stock J3.5 stacks up in comparison. I would say this new rig is pretty close to the stock J3.5 in every way except, the stock M5 is so much lighter than the J3.5. I'm not saying that is a good thing or a bad thing, it's just interesting.
When I first picked up the M5, it had the stock battery on it. After I broke the screen (see below), I picked up a G5 battery for it. I'm not sure, but I think that is going to be the battery going forward.
I got a chance to play with my friend's M5, but she's a little more advanced with it than I am. I've had the chance to mess with the stock J3.5 a few times, and I really like that rig. It is a lot smaller than I had expected. I don't know how the weight difference is, but the M5 seems so much lighter than the stock J3.5. I don't like the stock J3.5 rig as much as I thought I would. I don't like that I can't get to the power switch from the outside. I don't think I'm going to be using that much power with my rig. It really irks me that it has a stock fan. I've really only been using the stock fan, and I would really like to try the HyperX. The HyperX doesn't come with a fan, but the stock fan is noisy. It is much quieter, but I don't know how much of a difference it will make.
When I get around to the next topic, I will get the stock fan swapped out for a HyperX fan.
I broke the screen when I first got the rig. It doesn't make any sense to me. The fan is still spinning, and it has been for days. The light was blinking when I pulled the hard drive. I'm going to swap it out for a J3.5 fan. I know I need to figure out how to access the inside of the case. I'm not really sure how to do that. I can remove the back of the case.
I think I've found the hard drive. I have the J3.5 fan sitting next to it. I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm not sure I'm even ready to remove the drive from the J3.5 yet, but I do have a J3.5 fan laying next to the J3.5.
I think the hard drive came out of the J3.5 frly easily. When I got the J3.5, I also purchased the J3.5 fan. I just placed the fan next to the hard drive to see if the J3.5 fan would be enough to cool the drive. I think it will be.
I'm still having a lot of trouble with the fan switch. I think I finally figured it out. I just moved it closer to the light. It looks like the fan is spinning. When I get it home, I'm going to test it to make sure the light is actually spinning. I want to make sure that it actually is spinning, because if it is spinning, then I'm good.
It really annoys me that the fan switch has a small hole that it sticks out of. I know it is supposed to be used as a switch, but I'm not sure why I can't get to it. I'm going to have to pull the case apart more.
It sounds like a J3.5 fan. I need to swap out the stock J3.5 fan for a J3.5 fan. I also need to figure out how to get to the fan switch on the side of the case. It doesn't look like the fan switch is accessible.
I'm thinking that it will be fine with the stock fan for a while. I have a lot of time to make adjustments.
What did you break it off with? There is no glue on the inside of the case.
You might have to take the motherboard out to get the fan switch on the J3.5. I'm not sure if I can do that. The back of the case isn't accessible. There is a little bit of glue on the side of the case, and it holds the fan switch in place, but there isn't much glue.
Thanks for the reply. I really hate it that I broke my screen on this rig. I've been looking for the screen for a few days. I'm not sure if I can find it. It would be a lot of trouble to get it out.
I got a chance to play with the M5 this weekend. I really like the M5. I'm really impressed with it, and I'm surprised how small it is. I was expecting something bigger.
I swapped out the fan with a J3.5 fan and it sounds like the stock fan. The M5 is really small. I think I will have a hard time finding it.
It is pretty loud, and it is a pn to turn. I can't get to the power switch because it is
