Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I'm buying a pair of ysl cat eye sunglasses to wear in my garage band. The only requirement is they have to be black or dark gray, and they have to come with prescription sunglasses, so I don't need to have them readjusted. I am only concerned about the color of the lenses, and the shape of the frame. I want to know what kind of shape will be most flattering. I would like the frame to be rounded in the middle and pointed at the ends, so that they look more like a cat eye shape. I have a small face and I would rather the glasses be small in width than large. I have worn glasses my whole life, and I don't want the glasses to be uncomfortable. I would prefer sunglasses with an oval frame, but I don't want them to be completely round or rectangular. I'm not too particular about the color. The first pair I buy will be black, but I have a hunch I may want to try another color, so I'll buy two of the same color and switch the color at a later time. What kind of frame do you recommend?

I'm a little disappointed in the ysl site. All of the frames appear to be black, and the prescription sunglasses only come in black or brown. I'd rather have them in other colors, just to match the glasses, but maybe I don't have any other choices.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I have the ysl frame in black and grey and they look really good, I love them and have worn them for almost three years. They look cool and the black colour does not go with my skin tone as much as the grey or black. You can always switch your lenses, as I have the black ones which look really good. The only thing that will make you want to buy a new pair are the lenses.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I am buying the ysl frame in black with the prescription lenses, but the color isn't a big deal to me.

If the color bothers you, you can always buy a pair of prescription sunglasses. My prescription is in the lower teens, and I just bought a pair of tortoise sunglasses for $19. The lenses come off and you can replace them in about a minute, and you can just change your frame if you really want to.

If you're worried about your eyes, you may want to get a pair of glasses that go over your prescription sunglasses. My prescription sunglasses have a lot of side protection for my eyes, but they're not big enough for someone with a big face like mine.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I agree with both the guy above and the guy below you. I am very similar in my eyewear needs, i.e. I prefer the oval shape, but I like a bit of side protection as well.

I just bought a pair of black tortoise frames, and have the prescription lenses in them. They are the kind that have the arms around the lenses to protect your eyes if you don't look directly into the sun.

I do like the look of them as they are, but I did order a different set of prescription sunglasses in order to match the frame colors.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

My daughter has the ysl cat eye in black and gray and she loves them. They look so cool and I have the same glasses and I LOVE THEM. They are a bit smaller than I wanted but they still look great and she looks like a fashion plate. Good luck on your search.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I wear them and I think they are so cute I can't believe how long it's taken me to find them. You can buy them from ebay or at a store like the one in the link below but they are pricey. I just love them. I did get mine through a seller who was a member on the ysl forum as I knew they were going to sell fast so I got a good deal. You may find another seller with a better deal but I don't know how long it'll last. If I were you I'd just get the pair you like and switch them out when you can and not pay for a second pair. That way you save money and look great. I also have the black frames and they're not as big as the gray ones I had before. My daughter likes the black ones and they look good on me too.

Re: Ysl cat eye sunglasses

I have the YSL frames in black and gray (which I love). They are also prescription glasses, but you can take the lenses out and get prescription ones. My prescription is a little below 20 so I don't want to wear glasses.

I also don't like the side protection as I don't need that. My prescription glasses have the arms around them.

I was looking for a pair with a black frame and the ysl's were the only ones that I found. If you do find another pair with a black frame then I would suggest that you get the pair that has the gray frame as they are more flattering to you.
